The promo spot doesn’t include any major clips from the new season, but the soundbites therein make clear that fans are in for another intense set of episodes. Accused: Guilty or Innocent takes the point of view of criminal defendants, following them, their families and their attorneys up to and including their trial. The series is one of two that A&E has focusing on the defendants; the other being Court Cam Presents Under Oath, which wraps its first season this week.
A&E also announced via press release that before going into the new cases, it will air a two-hour special telling fans what happened to the people featured in season 1. The follow-up special airs on Aug. 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, the week before Accused: Guilty or Innocent season 2 premieres (Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT starting Aug. 19).
Accused: Guilty or Innocent season 1 is now streaming on Discovery+ or can be purchased on Amazon Video.
