As the title indicates, the new FBI spinoff focuses on a unit of federal agents (known as the International Fly Team) who work on cases involving American citizens in foreign countries. Deadline reports that Christiane Paul and Carter Redwood have joined Luke Kleintank, Vinessa Vidotto and Heida Reed as series regulars.
Paul, familiar to audiences for her work on Counterpart, will play the one main character who is not an FBI agent. Her unnamed character works for Europol, the European Union’s law enforcement agency, so it stands to reason she’ll be some sort of a liaison for the U.S. squad to consult or collaborate with.
None of the FBI agents have names yet, either, but Kleintank (The Man in the High Castle) plays the team leader with Reed portraying the second-in-command. Vidotto and Redwood will round out the roster of the unit that is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary—where the series is also being filmed.
FBI: International premieres Tuesday, September 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT as the last part of a three-hour FBI crossover event similar to those in the One Chicago franchise. It then moves to Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT the following week.
