My Life is Murder season 2 trailer released

The Lucy Lawless crime drama My Life Is Murder has just dropped its season 2 trailer, ahead of the season premiere on August 30 at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET on Acorn TV.

My Life is Murder stars Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Ash vs. Evil Dead) as former cop turned private investigator Alexa Crowe. While the first season was set in Australia, the second season has moved to New Zealand, which has also meant some cast changes.

Lawless and Ebony Vagulans, who plays Alexa’s sidekick Madison Feliciano, are the only two cast members that Acorn TV listed as returning in the press release accompanying the trailer. The streamer announced that Rawiri Jobe (The Brokenwood Mysteries) will be joining the cast as new detective Harry, along with Joe Naufahu as cafe owner Reuben.

Guest stars in My Life is Murder season 2 will include William Shatner, comedian-actor Bill Bailey, Matt Whelan (The Sounds), Jay Ryan (Mary Kills People) and Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy).

Acorn TV will release the first pair of season 2 episodes on August 30, followed by the remaining eight on a weekly basis every Monday. The trailer gives audiences their first look at the New Zealand move and what’s in store for Alexa when she returns to her home country.
